If you talk to Laurie Stogniew, CEO of Bayshore Marketing Group, long enough you’ll likely hear her talk about her love of 1Voice Foundation. “I met Mary Ann Massolio, the Director of 1Voice Foundation, 3 years ago and also met with many of the children they serve. I quickly fell in love with Galyna, one of the 1Voice Foundation children being treated for cancer. She came to our office, and we spent the afternoon together. I am happy to say, Gaylna is cancer-free and has been in remission since July of last year“, says Laurie.
This incredible foundation offers 25 programs for pediatric cancer families in Tampa Bay and operate the only private pediatric cancer research lab in Tampa Bay, under the direction of Cameron Tebbi, M.D., who is developing the vaccine for leukemia. They are the VOICE for West Central Florida pediatric cancer families on Capitol Hill where they testify annually before Congress and the Senate during Childhood Cancer Action Days on the Hill. The foundation has partnered with the Hillsborough County Schools to launch the initiative to open the 1Voice Academy, the first school in the United States for children with cancer. There is never a cost or fee for any of their programs and services.
For her birthday this year, Laurie did a Facebook fundraiser that raised $1,120 for 1Voice Foundation that is so close to her heart.
